If there was ever a soft spot in my heart, it has to be for blushes—In particular, embossed blushes. There is just something so captivating about blushes that contains ridges, edges, patterns, or designs that just makes the makeup application so much more… fun! That being said, there wasn’t even a doubt within me when I first saw Dior’s 'Intemporalle' Blush Palette that I knew I had to hoard it. I said hoard because, well, let’s be honest here—I can easily build a house with the amount of makeup I already have.

The 'Intemporalle' Blush Palette, according to Nordstrom’s website, "enhances your cheeks with a vibrant veil of coral and fresh pink.” It comes with a small kabuki brush and the standard Dior’s black velvet pouch. The lux presentation of this, in itself, helps to justify the price tag (or that’s what I try to tell myself anyway...).

When I first opened the palette I did not think it would swatch as a “coral/pink” because of the white powder that runs across pan. I actually assumed that I would get more of a pastel pink color. Instead, once you actually dip your finger and go for a swatch, the combination of the colors does lean towards that pinky coral shade as advertised. Although, I do think that it really depends on where and how you swatch—If you end up collecting more of the white powder, then the swatch will lean towards the light pink shade.

The pigmentation leaves less to be desired as it is quite average with very very very light specks of golden shimmer running through it (only noticeable in sunlight). I think those with deeper skin tones might find this shade difficult to work with as it is not pigmented enough to stand out with one layer of application. Quality wise, I think it holds true to Dior's standard of blush quality which is excellent. I have always loved how natural Dior blushes are and that it truly blends seamlessly into your skin, hence I am not that disheartened by the lack of pigmentation. It is a beautiful palette, nothing absolutely out of this world, but something worth taking a look at if you are interested in an everyday blush shade. Plus, that kabuki is pretty decent! Kudos to a brush in a palette that ACTUALLY works. *high fives Dior*
