REVIEW | Charlotte Tilbury Instant Beauty Palette - The Dolce Vita Look (Seductive Beauty)

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is currently in the midst of breaking free many jailed wallets for the past two weeks. The strong-will may have been able to resist, but if you are a beauty lover like myself, you most likely were unable to deny the calling of the hollering sales and deep discounts. I am naturally pretty weak when it comes to hiding my wallet, especially when beauty sales come about. My wallet seems to naturally roll itself out of my bag and onto my lap to taunt me whenever I cross a beauty sale that advertises for "30% OFF!" "50% OFF!" "BUY ONE, GET ONE!"

And with that... I was suckered in.

While I did end up piling my cart with things I will never need, there was one item in the basket that I knew I actually had to have the minute I discovered that it would be released in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale--The Charlotte Tilbury "Instant Beauty Palette - The Dolce Vita Look (Seductive Beauty)".

I've always been a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury. Her makeup videos always intrigued me--I am not sure if it is the British accent or the words she uses that lures me in, but the way she talks is just so... musical. I have several of her makeup and her eyeshadow formula is probably up there for me in terms of quality. She previously released a different version of the Instant Beauty Palette, but in the color "Nude". Although beautiful in its own right, that palette was a little bit too natural for me. Most of the colors were rather average and it was not worth the price tag that was attached. For goodness sakes, I probably own 67 shades of neutral brown eyeshadows so it didn't make sense to invest in it. On the other hand, with the release of the "Instant Beauty Palette - The Dolce Vita Look", I thought I would give it a go as the colors of the eyeshadows caught my eyes. The Dolce Vita was actually one of my favorite Luxury Palettes from Charlotte Tilbury. I wanted to buy the Instant Beauty Palette to compare it to the Luxury Palette and see if there were dupes/repeats of the eyeshadow shades.

I am sad to report that, yes, two of the shades in the Instant Beauty Palette are almost identical, if not the same ones, as the colors in the "Luxury Palette - Dolce Vita". I also noticed that the quality in the Luxury Palette is actually a lot better than the Instant Beauty Palette. The color payoff is SO much better as I had to actually dip my fingers twice into the Instant Beauty Palette to get a nice thick swatch to compare it to Luxury Palette. Truly though, the winners of the Instant Beauty Palette are the face products--The bronzer, the highlight, and blushes are aaamaaazzinggg and I think the quality there stands similar to her regular products. Plus, you get a nice travel-size Legendary Lashes Mascara as well. I have not yet had the chance to try it, so there are no reviews for that.

Overall, do you need this palette if you have several Charlotte Tilbury items already? No. If you have not yet had the chance to dabble into Charlotte Tilbury makeup then this palette is a winner. It'll give you a chance to try out several of her makeup items and formulas before diving into the brand and buying the singular items.
