Tous les Jours
Saturday, April 19, 2014Bakeries, specifically Korean bakeries, have always held a special place in my heart. My eyes sparkle at the sight of a new bakery territory that I have yet to discover. Often times my favorite bakeries are in New York City so that's quite a bit of a hike to grab hold of my favorite sweets. Luckily for me, one of my favorite bakery, Tous les Jours, opened up a shop right near my house. It's an intensely modernized take on a bakery as the actual decoration of the shop is more of a lounge-around sort of atmosphere. Unlike the location in New York, this one is HUGE in comparison. Brian and I usually like to stop by this bakery after a heavy dinner to sit back and enjoy a quick bubble drink or coffee. It's also a plus that the seats here are very very comfortable. I think I was almost falling half asleep while sitting there...

I love bakeries, but this one is a bit of a hike for me since there's always traffic on 66 or 50 (even on weekends!) ;A;
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of disappointing to hear that as a well-known bakery, the HQ in South Korea can't just give their locations the recipe so they can make it fresh and upkeep the image of the brand :Y
I know, right? The only fresh things they make are their coffee and boba...
DeleteI understand what you mean when items are freshly baked. They intensify the taste so much more. I think I'd stop by just to relax in this atmosphere, more cafes should be casual. Not all about quick service and go. Eyeing the pink concoction there, looking mighty yummy~
ReplyDeleteDo they have macarons???
ReplyDeleteYES THEY DO! And it is quite delicious! :)
