There was a period of time in Senior year of High School when I had a very unhealthy obsession with oversized sweaters. My closet was piled high with these comfy articles of clothing and my wardrobe mainly consisted of oversized sweaters, shirts, and hoodies. I'd like to think that I was following the trend back then or maybe I was going solo and loved it all by myself *insert Forever Alone meme*. Now that I'm in the official "work-life", all my casual wears are slowly collecting dust. Admittedly, I might have lost my passion for fashion a tiny bit just because the only fashion inspirations I may have are usually trumped by my office's regulations on office wear.

Luckily, I get to go on dates with the boyfriend which gives me an excuse to go out in public with casual clothing! Also, it gives me a real reason to have a consistent social life other than work (I swear, I make myself sound like a social outcast...). Since we were just going out to eat Pho with his friends, I decided on a simple ensemble. I probably chose an oversize sweater too to hide the poof that would eventually be my belly after I get all that food in... lol...

Lately I've been wanting to devour one thing and I'm ashamed to say that it's not exactly the healthiest option. :(


Korean-flavored fried chicken with a side of french fries topped with cheese!

Get in mah belly. Just typing this makes me want to drool a Nile River already. Shamefully, for the past month or so (maybe two), I've been eating fried chicken at least once a week. I don't know either! Slap me on my wrist please because I'm sure my arteries are probably clogged up at this point. It doesn't help that Brian insists on continually feeding me these delicious things when I ask (good boyfriend is good<3 lol...). I wish he was more of a health-Nazi so that he can help me control these cravings. Unfortunately, he is exactly like me when it comes to our food cravings sometimes---we share the love for this dish.


Korean Haemul Pajeon (Seafood Pancake).

The restaurant we ate at had recently closed closed down for 4 weeks for renovation and finally re-opened again. The place was SO crowded when we first entered so we actually had to be seated at the bar instead of a table. I bought a Groupon deal for $15 that gave us $30 worth of food (I'm legit the Groupon queen). I mainly use Groupon for restaurants and I also think it's a great way to really experience and test out new restaurants at a discounted price. But really, it's just my excuse for the fatty side of me to explore more options in food. :P Anyways, the restaurant is called Chi-MC Chicken & Beer which was previously called Bon Chon. I've written about eating at Bon Chon many times in my old blog because I consider it as my comfort food restaurant. When I bought the deal online, I didn't realize that the restaurant was Bon Chon (but with a new name). Same tastes, lower prices = happy Thuy.


No better way to end a date night than with a pastry bread and some Vanilla Latte. ^_^

Every girl has a guilty pleasure.

From diamonds to high-end leather goods, or even something extreme as hopping on an airplane and flying off to a different continent--we girls all have one. It's that ONE thing where we often feel guilty about indulging in, yet it feels SO good when doing so. Mine? Well, it pertains to a certain bullet of choice (lol at my sad attempt at being witty).

Hi there! I'm Thuy.

This is the first entry of my newest blog and I would like to start it off with a big oomph! I worked quite hard on the layout which took several long gruesome hours  (meanwhile developing huge eye bags from staying up all night too). Blogger, you make designing so difficult... Regardless, I finally now have a (somewhat) finished product! :) I previously had a blog from 2009-2013 and I thought that this new 2014 year would be a great way to start off fresh and clean. 2014 marks my first year of finishing college and dwelling into dat real lyfe status. It's time to bury that old blog into a memory box and create a brand new place for me to dawdle on.
